Presentation Description
The Retirement Security Rule, also known as the DOL Fiduciary Rule in its fourth iteration, gets a lot of headline attention, but what are the actual implications for you and your clients? While there are a lot of technical nuances to this proposed rule (which won’t be final for several months), this webinar will help practitioners in the financial services community better understand the impact on their work. Bonnie Treichel and Matthew Eickman will discuss:
- Longstanding history of the DOL “fiduciary rule” and why the DOL is trying to regulate again
- Overview of the proposed changes in the rule, including changes to exemptions PTE 2020-02 and PTE 84-24
- Understanding of the rulemaking process and what comes next for the proposal
- Practical implications for financial services professionals and actionable tips to share with plan sponsors and participants
