RECORDED WEBINAR:

A Deep Dive on RMDs

Required minimum distributions are possibly the most universal rule for tax-favored retirements.  They impact qualified plans, 403(b) plans, 457(b) plans, and IRAs.  They were also the focus of two key provisions of the SECURE Act, which are in effect now.  This webinar will provide an in depth discussion, filled with examples, about RMDs in general (with a focus on defined contribution arrangements and IRAs) and show how the SECURE Act and recent IRS proposals impact distributions during the participant’s lifetime and after the participant’s death.  The program will be filled with concrete examples so you can see how the rules work in practical situations.  Topics include:

  • Determining the required beginning date after SECURE
  • Lifetime RMDs and proposed IRS changes
  • Distributions after death, as modified by SECURE
