 The Presentation: 

Every practitioner in the retirement plan space knows accurate compensation information is crucial to a plan’s compliance work.  Calculating a self-employed individual’s (SEI’s) compensation presents unique challenges, from its circular nature to obtaining necessary data and beyond.  Attendees will leave this session with a thorough understanding of the calculations.  We’ll review:

  • What information is needed
  • Examples related to DC, DB and combo designs
  • Tips for communicating with plan sponsors and their CPAs
  • Consulting issues unique to SEIs

Our Speaker: Stephanie Terry, CPA, QPA, QKA

Stephanie Terry is a partner of the firm and manages the ongoing administration of a wide range of qualified retirement plans. Stephanie’s 20 years of industry experience (with a special emphasis on plan operations, compliance, and reporting) equips her to lead Pinnacle’s administration of both defined benefit and defined contribution plans.


Stephanie's area of specialty include:
