Distribution Dilemmas: Retirement Plan Hardships and Loans

Most 401(k) retirement plans permit participants to take plan loans and hardship distributions. These distribution options can be lifesavers for participants, but can result in administrative errors and burdens on plan administrators.  This session will describe the requirements of plan loans and hardships, including the recent final regulations on hardship distributions, as well as common errors with these distributions and how to correct them.
