Ethics and Professional Responsibility

with Ilene H. Ferenczy

Please join us for a timely webinar – Ethics and Professional Responsibility - hosted by the Western Pension & Benefits Council Governing Board on Wednesday, December 12th from 10:00am-12:00pm PST. This webinar will provide two Ethics CE Units for AIF, ASPPA and NIPA members, CFP, ERPAs, JBEA, CPAs (CA and OR) and MCLE(CA).

The Presentation

This session is intended to provide practitioners with the tools needed to recognize, evaluate, and reasonably solve ethical conundrums.

The first portion of the session is a succinct discussion of the Circular 230 ethical rules that generally apply to practitioners in the retirement plan area, as well as ethical obligations imposed by other organizations (such as the American Bar Association or the American Society for Pension Professionals and Actuaries) and by the practitioner's own moral code.

The second portion of the session is a series of skits, providing the participants with opportunities to hear various hypothetical ethical scenarios, and then contemplate possible acceptable solutions.
