When Regulators Step Back, Litigators Step In- An update on the changing landscape of ERISA enforcement and best practices

Changes in leadership at the Department of Labor are having a significant impact on the priorities of the organization. For retirement plan sponsors and practitioners, this has meant delays in implementation and requirements brought about by the Fiduciary Rule. While practitioners have been overwhelmingly supportive of retaining the status quo, plan sponsors are feeling the heat of a more aggressive litigation environment. Active plaintiff firms with deep pockets and recent court successes continue to fuel expanded action.

In this presentation, we'll cover the changing litigation environment and its cross-section with changes in how the federal government enforces the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).
