Many of us work in the qualified plan world with a variety of specialties and areas of expertise. This requires that the employer engage with several different providers who maintain various roles with respect to the plan, in addition to those who have an ancillary role like the accountant, payroll company, etc. In order to ensure that nothing “falls through the cracks”, and to achieve a healthy, audit-ready plan, good collaboration amongst the service providers is a must. We’ll talk about some of the failures that could be avoided with collaboration, and help the plan sponsors to see why it’s so critical to “pull the team together”.
