Tales From an ERISA Plan Auditor – Dream Clients and Nightmare Clients

Ever wonder what those retirement plan auditors actually do and why they ask all those pesky questions? .Ponder why the audit seems to take forever and then suddenly is done right before the Form 5500 filing deadline?

Join us for an educational and intriguing presentation during which the above questions will be explored and answered so that you better understand the audit process and can tell whether the auditor is doing a great job for your clients.  Through a series of case studies taken from actual client interactions, we will discuss how clients can successfully navigate the independent audit process and how service providers and auditors can work together to help clients complete the annual plan audit.  Each case study will conclude with a set of best practices.
