Online Webinar: ERISA in the Courts: Developments in Fiduciary Litigation


Jamie Fleckner will provide an update of key developments concerning ERISA fiduciary litigation. The presentation will address recent appellate decisions and trends in ERISA class action litigation involving alleged fiduciary breaches and prohibited transactions. The cases to be addressed will include litigation challenging fees paid by benefit plans and plan participants; investment options made available in defined contribution plans, including the use of company stock, mutual funds, and stable value funds; and alleged self-dealing through use of “retained assets” in group life insurance contracts. 


About Our Presenter

Jamie Fleckner is a partner in Goodwin Procter’s Litigation Department and heads the firm’s ERISA Litigation Practice. Mr. Fleckner is a nationally recognized leader in the field of ERISA litigation. His practice also involves a wide array of complex commercial litigation and securities law. He also focuses on regulatory investigations and governmental proceedings, and has appeared before the U.S. Department of Labor, Securities and Exchange Commission, Department of Justice, Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation and state authorities.
