Behavioral Perspectives in Plan Design Consultation:
Change the Retirement Futures of Employees & Help Plan Sponsors Pass Their Tests!

How much do I need to save to retire comfortably and not have to worry about paying the bills? How do I build a portfolio which aligns my time horizon, retirement goals, and risk profile? These are questions that require a deep knowledge of financial and investment planning that most are not prepared to answer, and the results are not good. Poor savings and investment decisions have led to most Americans being ill prepared for retirement. Participants desire help. They are overwhelmed by the decisions they must make and are heavily relying on cognitive short cuts and emotional reactions when making decisions. Evidence suggests we can reshape the future of retirement and overcome many of these problems with better plan design. Our speakers, Kevin Thelen and John Zollo, will bring together behavioral psychology research and plan design considerations to align the interests of the plan sponsor and plan participants.
